Bauer Supreme Fuse Evolution
The Bauer Supreme Fuse represents the evolution of Bauer's power-skating performance line, and its updated generation pushes the boundaries of what one-piece composite boot construction can achieve in terms of energy transfer, weight reduction, and skating feel.
What You Need to Know
The Supreme Fuse uses Bauer's advanced one-piece CURV composite construction — a method where the boot is formed as a single composite unit rather than assembled from multiple panels bonded together. This eliminates the glue interfaces between components that can soften over time, maintaining boot stiffness more consistently throughout the skate's lifespan.
The performance profile of the Supreme Fuse targets power skaters: players with a powerful, wide-base stride who generate force primarily through full-leg extension rather than the quick edge-to-edge changes that the Vapor line optimizes for. The Fuse's boot geometry is designed to maximize power output for this stride type — slightly more volume through the mid-foot than the Vapor, with a stiffer torsional resistance that prevents the boot from twisting under heavy lateral loads.
The Fuse Evolution update introduces an improved ankle padding system that addresses previous generation complaints about ankle bone pressure on the interior quarter panel. The new configuration uses gradient-density foam that is firmer at the structural support zones and softer at the bony contact points — a distribution that maintains lateral support without creating the localized pressure that caused discomfort for some skaters.
The Tuuk LS Pulse TI runner is standard issue on the Fuse, offering titanium-content steel that holds edges longer than conventional stainless alternatives.
Supreme Fuse Evolution Strengths:
- Best suited for power stride mechanics and wider foot profiles
- One-piece CURV composite maintains stiffness over the skate lifecycle
- Improved ankle padding reduces pressure point complaints
- LS Pulse TI runner standard for enhanced edge retention
The Fuse Evolution builds on an excellent platform. Power skaters with Supreme-compatible feet have a new benchmark.
